Asus G51VX-RX05 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Performance Test
ASUS G51VX-RX05 Playing COD 4: Modern Warfare demo on my new Asus gaming laptop. Recorded with a camera during day time, so please forgive me for reflections. Fraps counter included. Native resolution. All settings set to the max. Anti-aliasing 4x. Corpses number set to medium though. Runs at about 40-60fps; will not go below 30. Overall, great performance, very smooth gameplay, and the graphics are beyond awesomeness. Crystal clear details.

@mrswartz I’m still using this laptop and it’s as good as it was when I first bought it. Currently playing TR: Underworld, Dead Rising 2, Fallout New Vegas, Medal of Honor (2010), Force Unleashed II and Hot Pursuit (mostly on High Settings) – never had a trouble with it overheating or that kind of stuff. But if you do want to get the BIOS updated, Google would be a better helper.
@Whinestee thats what i like to hear! just bought one at $700 on ebay new, 2yr warrenty, free zalmen cooler! where can i update the bios tho? heard the thing over heats stock
@AC130Alex sims 3 can play on a single core 2.0 ghz, x1950 pro 256 mb..this would make it screaming fast
was this on turbo mode or the better one?
this is definitely such a superb game. we’d have paid for it though i am so glad i got it absolutely free due to mw2forfreeWinfo (replace W with . ) so i could use the money on a good mouse.
@aznranking With mine I get a solid 40+ fps on high settings.
@aznranking GTA IV is terribly optimized, even high-end computers have trouble with it..lol
Can somebody Try Playing Sims 3 On this laptop?

Sorry about that last post. Site was experiencing technical diffculties. Just bought this laptop from Geeks, and it came with a counterfiet copy of Windows. Both Geeks (dot com) and Asus have horrible customer support, so be careful! Great laptop otherwise.

NO, well, at least not for gaming, Dell XPS 16 have a lower GPU (Grpahics card)
Are the framer ates faster than in the video (is it the camera that makes it seem like its not smooth?
pretty much all thats better is the graphics and the price…
dell has better overall features imo (the rgb led is the best out there) plus aesthetics and batter life
i wouldve gotten this but i already have a gaming desktop so
if you plan on gaming, buy this, if you plan on using your laptop for work and such go for dell
well it has troubles running crysis. but i have the same laptop and have ran cod waw on it. it runs smooth, with a few minor jumps and drops in FPS because WaW was horribly coded. but other then that its good.

Definitely The G51. You’re paying a huge “mac tax” for any mac you choose to buy. Here you get better hardware for a better price.
